Our plans start at $1,999 a month on month-to-month terms, or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus 5% GST for BC clients. There's no long-term contract, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. The more useful question than "what does it cost?" is "what would it need to produce to be worth it?", so this page covers both.

The plans

BCSEO.ca uses the plans of the Trades.Agency family. Full details are on the Trades.Agency pricing page.

Plan Month-to-month Billed annually Summary
Growth $1,999/month $1,499/month The core plan, sized for an established trades firm
Elite $3,999/month $2,999/month Wider multi-channel scope; Trades.Agency website design packages at half price
Enterprise $7,999/month $5,999/month Your own dedicated team and priority support, with any website design and build package included at no charge

Prices are in Canadian dollars. BC clients add 5% GST. On this site, the plan's marketing effort goes to search: the profile, pages, technical work and content described on our services page. We confirm in writing which SEO tasks your plan covers before you start.

What drives SEO cost in BC

Four things decide how much work a business needs:

  1. Competition in your towns. A Burnaby electrician needs more content and stronger pages than a Terrace electrician. Crowded Lower Mainland categories take more effort to move.
  2. Number of markets. One town needs one strong profile and a few pages. Eight towns across the Fraser Valley need eight genuinely distinct location pages.
  3. Starting condition of your site. A slow, recently migrated site with indexing problems needs technical work before anything else pays off.
  4. Type of work you sell. Urgent trades can win quickly through the map pack. Planned, high-ticket work leans on content, which takes longer to build.

The break-even maths

Here is a simple test you can run with your own numbers. Take your average job value, multiply by your gross margin, and see how many extra jobs a month a plan needs to cover itself.

Business Average job Gross margin Profit per job Jobs to cover $1,999
Drain cleaning, Surrey $400 50% $200 10
Electrical upgrades, Kelowna $2,500 35% $875 3
Roof replacement, Nanaimo $15,000 25% $3,750 1

The figures are illustrations, not quotes. Plug in your own. If the "jobs to cover" number is small compared with your normal monthly volume, SEO is likely to pay; if it's large, start with free basics from our guides and revisit later.

Two more points the table hides. First, SEO compounds: pages and reviews built in month three keep working in month eighteen. Second, repeat and referral customers who first found you in search add value the table doesn't count.

How to choose a plan

  • Growth fits most single-location BC businesses serving one to five towns, especially in the Interior, on the Island or in the North.
  • Elite fits businesses in competitive Lower Mainland categories, or those serving many towns, where more content and pages are needed.
  • Enterprise fits multi-location firms that want a dedicated team and a new website built as part of the plan.

If you're unsure, start with the free consultation. We'll recommend the smallest plan that can realistically move your numbers, and tell you if a plan isn't worth it yet.

What you get on every plan

  • A written plan with a 90-day order of work
  • Monthly reporting on calls, clicks and visibility, in plain language
  • Full ownership of your profile, website and data accounts
  • Month-to-month terms, with 30 days' notice to cancel

Free first step

That first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses and carries no obligation to buy a plan. Bring your towns, your main job types and a rough idea of monthly calls. See the contact page for what to send, or read the FAQ for common questions about contracts and ownership. BCSEO.ca is a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor; these prices cover marketing work only.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a contract?

Plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can cancel with 30 days' notice. Annual billing lowers the monthly price if you're ready to commit for a year.

Do you charge for the first conversation?

No. If you run an eligible trades business, your first 30-minute consultation costs nothing and sits apart from any paid plan. Expect a working conversation about your towns, not a pitch.

Are prices in Canadian dollars?

Yes. All prices are in Canadian dollars, and BC clients add 5% GST, plus provincial sales tax only where it applies to the service.

Why is SEO priced monthly instead of per project?

Because most of the value comes from steady work over months: profile upkeep, new pages, content and fixes. A one-off project can set things up, but rankings drift if nothing follows.

Can I start small?

Yes. The Growth plan suits most single-location BC businesses. You can move up when results justify it, and we'll tell you if we think you don't need more.
